Kanger Kone Starter Kit - 3,000 mah @3.5ml

The Kanger KONE Starter Kit is one of the smallest featured set from Kanger, presenting an easy-to-use yet highly capable KBOX Smart Mod along with the well-balanced Pangu Sub-Ohm Tank.

The KBOX Smart Box is designed with user-friendly operations in mind, measuring 63mm by 44mm by 23mm while managing to pack a high-capacity 3000mAh internal battery. It presents an oversized firing mechanism with no adjustment buttons, providing a direct voltage output system that correlates to the battery life to determine the power output. A 5 LED indicators allows for intuitive notification system, such as battery life indication or safety warnings.

The accompanying Pangu Tank measures 22mm in diameter while packing 3.5mL juice capacity, condensation reclamation system, and utilizing the new disposable PGOCC System with "Clean Hands" coil replacement mechanism. The full length coil structure replaces the static chimney of traditional sub-tanks, creatively allowing for a juice-free "Clean Hands" coil assembly. Kanger is about to release a brand new type of vape mod and together with this mod comes a new starter kit that sure vapers will grave for. I’m talking about the Kanger Kone Starter Kit featuring the Kanger Pangu Tank and their all-new Kanger Kone Vape Mod. On this review, we will talk about its specification and what should we expect from the brand new Kanger Kone Starter Kit.
First up!

The Kanger Pangu Tank

This replaceable coil head tank has been on the market for a month now, released on the mid-week of June this year 2016. It features a clearomizer-style coil, 3.5ml tank, stainless steel construction and durable surface finish. This tank sure is a great fit to run side-by-side with Kanger Kone. The tank has two disposable PGOCC coils included – one for MTL (mouth-to-lung) which is PGOCC NiChrome 1.5ohm coil and DL (direct lung) which is PGOCC Stainless Steel 0.5ohm coil.

The NiChrome 1.5ohm Coil can also be used for temp control with voltage watt of 10-26W. On the other hand, Kanger recommends us to vape the Stainless Steel 0.5ohm coil from 15-50W. But in my opinion, I totally recommend vaping it at 27-30W because if you take this coil over 40W it starting to get that really burnt taste.

Overall, this tank I think would be a great fit for a new starter kit vape mod. Its clearomizer coils are good for beginners/starters who wants to experience MTL and DL vaping. A decent top fill design and easy coil head replacement – which there are two ways to do it:

1. If the tank is empty we can just unscrew the top lid and the coil easily.
2. If the tank is full you gonna do it upside down and half empty. After that, just easily unscrew the coil head and replace with the new one while the tank is on upside down position (Note: try not to tilt it, for the liquid may drip easily).

 The Kanger Kone

Not much has been released yet for the specs of this vape mod. But two things are for sure, it has now a built-in 3000mAh battery. Which is the next leap for Kanger vape mods – we all know that kanger products are well known for their replaceable 18650 or 26650 battery cell.

So vapers will charge it via USB cable and maybe with this feature we can use it while charging, right? Who knows, we will just have to wait until the product will be officially released. Can’t wait!

The other thing about this product is it has only one button; no other buttons, no OLED screen. Also, the image at the top suggests that this could be LED light indicator and not used to view the display information. It has a minimum resistance of 0.1 ohms, achievable using a TC coil. Also, has a short circuit protection for personal safety meaning it can detect how hot the vape mod will be and its maximum wattage or minimum resistance are. The box mod’s maximum output would probably around 50W judging from Pangu Tank coils that are included in the box.

The Kanger Kone is very basic, simple and easier to use device. With that being said, this starter kit is really for those users who loves simple and not into ergonomic style vape mods – no screen displays, no smartphone connectivity, no TCR modes, and other high-tech vaping features.
